PHYS-207 Introduction to Quantum Computing

An introductory study of the rapidly growing field of Quantum Computation. The course starts with a brief introduction to the mathematical framework for describing quantum bits (qubits) and quantum gates. Topics will include physical realizations of qubits (with examples from condensed matter and atomic physics) and selected quantum algorithms.
