BIO-BIO 100I Explorations in Biology: You Are What You Eat

A thematic course exploring five fundamental features of all biological systems, including structure and function, information flow, energy and matter, interactions, and evolution. Acquisition of food resources and adaptations to maximize their utilization are key drivers of the diversity of life. We will explore resource acquisition from cellular, ecological, and evolutionary perspectives. We will also cover important aspects of how our own changing diet has driven human evolution, anatomy, and health outcomes. All living beings truly are a reflection of what they eat!
