PHIL-237 Aesthetics

This course will introduce students to debates that are central to aesthetics and the philosophy of art. We will consider issues such as what makes something a work of art, why we should engage with works of art, whether beauty really is in the eye of the beholder, and what to do about works of art by morally problematic artists.
