HSPST-150 Fourth Term Spanish

An advanced language course designed to strengthen and develop oral communication and writing skills. Conversation and debate play a central role and provide a framework for engaging with cultural topics and contemporary issues in the Spanish-speaking world. The course offers a rigorous review of Spanish grammar and seeks to refine students’ written expression through an array of formats including argumentative compositions, descriptive essays, creative narration, newspaper articles, and reviews.

Prerequisite

Grade of C or better in HSPST-130 or HSPST-135, placement exam, or consent of instructor. Not open to students who have taken HSPST-140.

Notes

Three hours of class weekly, with an additional weekly TA session. Taught in Spanish.
