HIST-450 Senior Seminar

Part one of a sequenced, two-semester course. Students will focus on historiography–the study of historical research and writing–by reading about the discipline of history, engaging with different subfields and methodologies, and thinking about the relationship between history, historical evidence, and the historian. The course culminates with the writing and workshopping of a thesis proposal, which will guide the production of the student’s senior thesis in the spring semester.
