ENVST-327 Innovations in Environmental and Energy Policy
This experiential course examines barriers and bottlenecks to effective environmental and energy policy implementation and the proposed solutions and potential pathways to address them. Through case studies of climate, energy, water and conservation policy implementation, the course highlights the conditions under which innovation occurs and what the factors are that make it successful. Students meet frequently with local, state and federal policy practitioners, environmental and energy advocates and technologists. The course involves field trips to both Washington, D.C. and Boston to meet with environmental policy innovators.
