ENVST-221 Environment and the City

This course makes the city an object of study, employing the tools of philosophy to question its political, social, ethical, epistemological, and aesthetic dimensions. Using an interdisciplinary approach, this course will examine urban environmental challenges and engage with topics that include urban infrastructure, gentrification, right to the city, data justice, participatory budgeting, and citizens. Students will develop skills to critically analyze environmental equity within urban spaces.
