ECON-439 Sustainable Economic Growth

Is it possible to sustain infinite economic growth on a finite planet? This course uses tools from economics to answer that question. Topics will include the importance of finite inputs in production, whether the externalities of economic growth prevent sustained growth, and climate change. We will study the role that government intervention can or cannot play in promoting sustainable economic growth.
