ECON-308 Public Economics

Analysis of the role of government in the economy from both the expenditure side and the income (tax) side. Topics include public goods, externalities, the U.S. "safety net," social security, government involvement in health care, public choice, budget deficits,the U.S. tax system, and the effects of taxation and government programs on behavior.
