DANCE-216 Intermediate Jazz Dance

Builds on foundational jazz technique through more complex movement phrases, increased technical demands, and greater stylistic range. The course continues to engage jazz dance as a form rooted in Black American cultural and performance traditions, emphasizing musicality, rhythmic clarity, and dynamic nuance. Students deepen their understanding of jazz vocabulary while further situating studio practice within the historical evolution of jazz dance.
