DANCE-112 Elementary Contemporary Dance
Studio-based course that introduces students to concepts and techniques of contemporary dance. Emphasizes movement articulation, kinesthetic awareness, and originality. Alongside developing movement fluency, students will learn to analyze and situate contemporary dance within historical and cultural contexts. The course explores how technique reflects cultural values and considers the frameworks through which we understand dancing bodies.
