BIO-203 Biomaterials

Plants and animals create materials to accomplish their complex goals for survival and reproduction. These biological materials, from wood to silk to shells to fur, have diverse and unique physical properties. This course will explore the physical/engineering properties of biological materials. We will learn the basics of structural mechanics while asking how and why organisms create these materials.
