WMGST-226 Transnational Feminist Movements
An extensive comparative overview, history and analysis of ten transnational feminist movements from around the world. In addition to considering the interconnections and particulars of contemporary struggles for social justice, the course will ask questions about the logistics of movement building, the practical efficacy of feminist epistemologies, and the relationships among organizing, academia, and feminist politics.

students will submit weekly discussion questions and lead at least two class sessions, presenting assigned readings, introducing the weekly speaker, curating discussion questions, facilitating class discussion. For a final project, the class will collaborate on a commemorative zine, which can then be shared with all the class speakers. May be taken with Feminist Approaches to Community Building
