PHIL-430 Plato
An intensive study of the philosophical dialogues of Plato, exploring interpretive matters, historical settings, philosophical arguments, and dramatic features. Special attention will be given to the primary texts, and some time and attention will be spent discussing secondary literature. The course will span every major area of philosophy (including metaphysics, ethics, epistemology, aesthetics, and logic) just as the works of Plato do.
