ECON-433 International Economics
This course covers topics in international trade and international finance. We will investigate the causes and consequences of international trade, explore policies that regulate international trade and their effect on economic welfare, as well as study the international flow of financial assets across countries. Students will learn to examine the existing literature critically. There will be frequent discussions of journal articles and their policy implications. The focus will be on learning how to use economic theory and statistical methods to formulate and test hypotheses.
