SOC-368 Gender, Sexuality & Society

This course takes a sociological approach to studying gender and sexuality. We will analyze foundational theories and recent developments in the field, including transgender and masculinity studies, while considering how the material relates to our lives. Throughout the course we will focus on inequalities of gender and sexuality in such areas as workplaces, schools, and sports, while considering links to inequalities of race, ethnicity, and social class.
