RELST-230 Modern Jewish Thought

This course introduces students to the main themes and problems of modern Jewish religious thought. We will trace this intellectual tradition in broad strokes, from its foundations in the early modern period up through current trends in Jewish theology. Students explore the many ways in which Jewish thinkers have reconfigured Judaism and Jewish identity in the modern world.
