PHYS-335 Condensed Matter

An introduction to condensed matter that explores the physics of metals, insulators, semiconductors, and superconductors, with particular attention to structure, thermal properties, energy bands, and electronic properties. The course draws on quantum physics to explain the origin of these properties and addresses experimental methods commonly used to understand material properties.
