MATH-551 Senior Seminar in Applied Probability

An exploration of modern applications of probability theory, including topics such as stochastic approximation, random walks and Brownian motion, graphical models, information theory, and large deviations. Student groups will choose a topic to study in depth and apply probabilistic methods to solve original problems using the statistical programming language R.
