A general introduction to international law. Survey of the nature and sources of international law, as well as the actors involved in
making and interpreting it. Examination of interactions between international law and the foreign affairs law of the United States. Exploration of issues such as human rights, the law of the sea, and use of force, revealing the basic sources, actors, and processes. Blend of legal and political science approaches to international law.
