The course will explore – both theoretically and empirically – the various channels through which trade could influence environmental outcomes. Topics include interactions of trade with environmental policy, pollution, climate change, and renewable resources. Recent literature on the Pollution Haven Effect and trade in environmental goods will also be examined.
