A study of major archaeological excavations and material remains of ancient Greece from the Bronze Age through the Hellenistic Period, with particular attention to the relationship between material remains and political and cultural history. Examines the exchange of archaeological and artistic influences with contemporary cultures of Europe, Africa and Asia.
