CHEM-365 Chemical Biology

This course will survey the tools and techniques chemists have developed to manipulate biological systems. Topics may vary but could include chemical synthesis of biopolymers, chemical genetics, small molecule probes, chemoselective ligations, metabolic labeling, cell-cell signaling, peptidomimetics, peptide chemistry, polyketide synthesis, directed evolution, DNA editing, glycans, and fluorescence imaging.
