WMGST-402 Feminist Theory and Practice: Transnational Feminisms

Explores and traces the history of feminism to contemporary theories and practices of feminism from around the world, highlighting the relationship between feminism, colonialism, post-colonialism. Read and examine key texts, films/videos, visual arts, short stories, posters, and other materials. Students will acquire a toolkit of critical thinking, writing skills, a more profound awareness of feminisms, and an understanding of power and justice that continues to impact our lives and our societies.
