PSYCH-372 Psychology in a Pandemic

In this course, we will focus on applying psychological theories to the perceptions of and reactions to a global pandemic. Key topics include theories of need fulfillment, responses to real and perceived threats, impact of the media on mental health and observed behaviors, and theories related to group dynamics. Discussion will include the impact of age, gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status on lifestyle and subsequent mental wellness during a health crisis.
