ENVST-158 Climate Change and Migration
Experts estimate that by 2050 there will be 200 million climate migrants. How can we understand the causes and consequences of this unprecedented upheaval? This course discusses anthropogenic climate change and the political, social, and economic factors leading to migration. Examines historical cases of human migration due to climatic factors, including multidisciplinary methodologies for understanding distant and more recent examples. (Writing-intensive).
