EDUC-203 Ethnography and Education

This course provides an understanding of the importance of ethnography to the consideration of issues introduced in EDUC 102 (previously taught as EDUC 200). What is ethnography as a methodology for exploring education? Students will practice methods such as participant observation, interviews, and oral history through in-class exercises, as well as conduct an ethnographic project of their own. This course replaces EDUC 350.
