COLEG-290 LACOL Summer Data Science

Data play a central and important role in scholarship, research, and modern society. Data science is a collection of analytical and computational methods to enable insight, understanding, and predictions to be drawn from data. This course provides an introduction to methods of data science, including visualization, manipulation, programming, and modeling. The goal is to foster students’ confidence in applying the tools and methods of data science to study problems across disciplines ranging from the social sciences, environmental science, psychology, medicine, ecology, chemistry, and physics.
