BIO-439 Seminar in Immunology

Advanced discussion on the concepts of immunology including: innate and adaptive immunity; host-pathogen interaction, immune cell communication, antigen modulation, regulation of immune response, immunopathology, allergic reactions, immunosuppression and immunogenetics. Immunological principles and application to infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancer, vaccine design with an emphasis on translational immunological research will also be covered. Weekly seminar, readings, discussion of case studies and student presentations.
