BIO-425 Seminar in Epigenetics
An advanced seminar examining the transcriptome and epigenome in eukaryotic systems. This course will cover chromosome structure and
modifications, the cis-regulatory code, pioneer proteins, and transcriptional regulation. We will look at how new genomics techniques like single cell RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and ATAC-seq, along with well-developed genetic and biochemical techniques have contributed to our understanding of heritable and non-heritable modifications to regulatory DNA. This course will cover topics relevant to development, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, and molecular biology.
