ARCH-226 Persistent Questions of the Past
Archaeologists have an opportunity, even a responsibility, to address topics such as political change, food security, climate change, economic inequality, and societal collapse and resiliency. Paired with the Winslow Series in Archaeology, this course addresses a persistent question of the study of the past, such as how people created large-scale social change and how humans have responded to climate change. The topic for each semester is based on the theme of the Winslow Series. Students will engage with professional archaeologists and produce a public-facing output based on their research.
